Welcome to sheriffs lodgment centreenforce your judgment

The SLC offers court users a range of services to enforce court judgments. Our services now include every type of court based enforcement, as well as the preparation and service of statutory demands anywhere in the UK.

We believe enforcement needs to be easy and straightforward and so this site is designed to give our clients an "enforcement portal" with lots of resources and links to help them in the enforcement of their judgments.

We suggest you start your enforcement process by double checking your debtor's address. You can use the Royal Mail website at www.royalmail.co.uk to check any address. You will need to go through a login and password procedure but once you are registered you can use the site for future claims and judgments to ensure you have the best address information available.

Next we suggest you and try and visualise your judgment debtor's assets, be it "goods", equity in a property, a bank account, or a salary! Ask yourself "What are the real circumstances of my debtor?"

Once you know what assets you think your debtor has available, use our enforcement matrix to match your debtor's circumstances with the best method of enforcement.

If you don't know what assets your debtor has, or you need to find out more, then you have a couple of options. You can apply for an Order To Obtain Information - which is a court based application, which requires your debtor to provide you with information about his or her assets. It can also be directed towards limited companies, by requiring directors to produce information including the company's statutory books. Or you can contact our Sherlock team at enquiries@sherlock.uk.net and ask them for information about our status report service.

Don't forget to bookmark this page - so you can keep in touch with our web pages on new services, and ideas on enforcement.

We look forward to helping all our clients turn their judgments into cash!
